FAQs

Don't I have to be Catholic to say the Hail Mary?

No. Just as you would have no problem talking with your Mother and asking her to pray for you,  most certainly can and may you hail the Mother of our Lord and ask her prayers. Mary is the Mother of all those who share in Christ's Body the Church, all those for whom Christ gave his life.

I work. How may I say the Angelus "on the job?"

Stop what you are doing if only for a few seconds and call to mind the wonderful Mystery of the Incarnation. If that is not possible, try saying it before work begins, at lunch-break, and just as you are getting ready to leave work. Ask God to help you find what is appropriate for you.

Is a Bell absolutely part of the observance?

Technically speaking, the bell is indeed a part of the Angelus, but no, the bell is not necessary. If you have a watch with a daily alarm, that may be helpful.

Is there a membership list?

There is a membership list with email addresses which we promise never to share with anyone without written permission. The email is simply for the Director to be able to contact members as to mistakes or changes or additions to pages or for particular prayer requests.

Is there a charge?

No. Donations to help support this page would be graciously accepted however.
